Born in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Ryan was raised as the fourth of five children on a dairy farm. It is this farming background and the influence of his father on his life that Ryan has learned the satisfaction of a hard day’s work and the value of a dollar.
Throughout his early years, Ryan has had a variety of interests and hobbies. He could often be seen on the back of his Kawasaki KLR250 motorcycle or on the pitch of a soccer field.
A two-time provincial medalist in Tier 2 soccer, Ryan continues to play soccer competitively, most recently for the Saint John Inferno.
In the fall of 2007, Ryan graduated with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree from Acadia University.
Ryan currently resides in Red Deer, Alberta and in his spare time enjoys cult television shows and spending time with his long-time girlfriend, Robyn White.
