My First Day

Hello all,

So I started my new job today, I work in the warehouse of a furniture store called Superbob’s. At no point during my time at university studing business administration did I ever think I would be working 9-5 moving furniture around a warehouse.

Now, I’m not snubbing my job, but I do think I’m qualified for other more attractive positions. Oh well, I’m only working there until March  25th as I will need time to pack before moving to Red Deer, Alberta. I wonder how soon I should tell the new boss that I am quitting.

So I started my day by meeting all of my co-workers and then helping to load a truck for deliveries. After that, I went on a delivery where we dropped off 8 large microwaves and picked up 13 defective ones. That was pretty tiresome as we had to go up and down a flight of stairs. I suppose it could have been worse, the microwaves could have went to the 3rd floor.

After doing those deliveries, we had a truck to unload. I had to move several large sofas and hide-a-beds. I couldn’t believe how heavy those can be, but we finished in about an hour.

After work, I came home to my loving girlfriend who cooked me supper, we had fish cakes and fries. I am a little sore from all of the work today, my knees hurt from resting the furniture on them while trying to get a grip. I figure that will go away in a few days.

Well, right now I’m watching the Lab with Leo. His show is great, I love to watch it, and its been the inspiration for creating this blog. I would just like to send a shout-out to Leo Laporte, thank you for your show (maybe he will comment on this).

Tonight I will watch the latest episode of Welcome to the Captain. I think I will do another Entertainment Review about it soon. I’m sure some of you will enjoy this as I plan on ripping this show to pieces!
