Hello all,
As I sit here on break at Staples, I figured I would post on my blog seeing as I haven’t done do lately.
My co-worker Kendra just bought a house on the weekend so I am giving her some advice on purchasing furniture cheaply. Walmart should be her best friend as well as JYSK for a kitchen table set.
I remember getting my dining room table and four chairs from JYSK for only $100. So far she can only find them as low a $150.
After work today I jave to look for a tv stand for my video equipment. I should also pick up a cheap filing cabinet up keep reciepts for my house. With the tenants, I will have to claim rental income so if I keep reciepts I can also deduct a lot from my tax renmturn next year.
That reminds me, I should file my taxes for this year today. I will be getting about $1150 back. That’s not too too bad although I did pay almost $2200 into the government in that last fiscal year.
Anyway, my break ended about five minutes ago so I should get back to work.

Hello all,
So Robyn and I purchased a house last week. We started looking early one afternoon and had made am offer and it was accepted by early evening.
The house is a 3 bedroom upstairs with a one bedroom with a den suite in the basement. A double detached garage is also on the property.
As of Sunday morning, we have rented out the basement suite to a couple and there small child for $800/month, and each side of the garage for 150/month each. This gives us a total rental income of $1100/month and our mortgage is only 1150/month.
Overall I think that Robyn and I did very good in purchasing our house at the time we did as well as getting as much out of it as we did. With our rental income, we will be able to save a lot more money.
This was my first serious blog from my iTouch. I should have more time to post as I an posting right now from the breakroom.

Hello all,
As some of you may know, I currently live in Red Deer, Alberta and we are experiencing quite a cold snap. Just last week, it was +5C and sunny, now it is -25C, with temperatures well below -10 predicted for the next week.
My truck does not like this weather much at all. The tires and 4X4 work fine, but starting is a pain. I bought a block-heater the other day, but have not had the time or the place to put it in.
Robyn leaves for Nova Scotia on Wednesday for 10 days to visit family. I talked to the other Technology Consultant today and we switched shifts so I can drive Robyn to the airport in Calgary then come back to Red Deer and work 9 hours at Staples. Hopefully the roads are good, if not it will be a very long drive.
Little Helo Agathon doesn’t care for this cold either. He goes out to do his business and then his feet get cold. Instead of coming back to the house, he will decide to lay down and bury his head in the snow. Our little puppy definitely lacks survival skills. If it wasn’t for us, he would just lay down in the snow and die.
Anywho, my sister Ellen Sue is heading over to drop off a couple of snow shovels so we can shovel off the sidewalk. Should be fun as I won’t have gloves until Robyn gives me my Christmas present.

Hello all,
I recently visited the website Thinkgeek.com, looking for a Star Trek command gold uniform. Unfortunately they were out of stock of command gold in my size, but I did stumble upon some other very cool items.
I purchased 6 items in all, 2 books, a Linux Fish for my Divisional Manager (huge Linux fan), a USB Flexlamp, a Battlestar Galactica t-shirt that read “What The Frak” with the BSG75 emblem behind, and my coolest purchase, a LED Umbrella.
The umbrella has a led strip embedding in the wand so when I am taking little Helo for a walk at night when it’s raining, I can turn the wand on and vehicles will be able to see me better, while looking super cool.
Here is the list of some of the purchases I made. I would definitely recommend this site to anyone who is into electronics or likes some cool merchandise.
I will add a link to a really funny product. If it turns out to be a working flash drive, I will buy it instantly.
